About Kehillah High

What is the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston's Kehillah High?

Kehillah High is an innovative educational program for Jewish students in grades 8-12. At Kehillah High, students enrich their Jewish identities through content-rich Jewish learning, communal engagement, and connection to Israel. Kehillah High's goal is for our teens to become inspired and engaged lifelong learners, committed to living a Jewish life guided by Jewish values and traditions as expressed in our diverse and pluralistic Jewish world.

Why come to Kehillah High?

Kehillah High allows teens to grow their Jewish identity while strengthening their critical thinking abilities, gaining leadership skills, and engaging in meaningful Jewish learning. Our teachers shape content and learning experiences in ways that are relevant and meaningful to our students and unlock the value in exploring their Jewish identities together with their peers. Teens especially enjoy the chance to socialize and meet like-minded Jewish teens from across the area.

Who will be at Kehillah High?

8th-12th grade Jewish teens from across the Houston area, and a dedicated and caring team of faculty.

This is your kehillah. Kehillah means community in Hebrew and we strive to be inclusive of all who wish to join ours to learn. Kehillah High aims to create a space which allows for and values diverse voices. We welcome students, families, and staff of all abilities, races, ethnicities, financial means, gender identities, sexual orientations, and levels of Jewish observances.
