We launched registration for the June 2021 Kehillah High Israel Trip on September 8, 2020. We have created a thriving program that you are excited to be a part of and it has always been our goal to develop and execute a biennial Israel trip for current 10th & 11th graders to deepen your understanding of the State of Israel and its connection to your Jewish identity. We already offer a comprehensive Israel education curriculum, but the best way to develop a relationship with Israel is to go there and experience it yourself. We are excited to announce that our first Israel trip will be this June 13 - July 1, 2021 for current 10th-12th graders. We hope you will all join us for this transformative experience!
This trip is made possible by generous donors, participating congregations, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Houston. We are very excited to share that the Kehillah High Israel Trip was the recipient of a brand new grant from RootOne, the initiative is seeded through a generous grant by The Marcus Foundation and powered by The Jewish Education Project and will help tens of thousands of teens travel there each summer with major subsidies for trip participants. We’re thrilled to receive this grant and be among the five leading youth serving organizations — BBYO, USY, Ramah, Union of Reform Judaism (URJ), and NCSY. Beyond increasing the number of teens and affordability of these trips, RootOne is an investment in the unique, immersive learning these trips provide. The initiative will support new trip curricula and offer deeper pre and post-trip engagement to strengthen participants’ Jewish identities and connections to community and Israel.
